The Voice Is Heating Up As The Show Is Heading Into Live Playoffs
Monday night’s (May 5) episode of The Voice showcased the remaining ten contestants, five each from Teams Legend and Bublé.
This round of the Playoffs featured LeAnn Rimes and Sheryl Crow as Mega Mentors for Team Legend and Team Bublé, respectively, before the show heads into Live Playoffs next week.
At the end of the episode, the coaches had to choose just two singers from their five remaining to move to the Live Playoffs, where America will begin voting for their favorite singers.
During this episode, Team Bublé’s Kaiya Hamilton, Angie Rey, Jadyn Cree, Barry Jean Fontenot, and Adam David performed, vying for the two spots on his team in the Live Playoffs.

Angie Rey Put On An Emotional Performance Dedicated To Her Late Grandmother
When choosing a song for this week, Angie Rey, picked the iconic song “How Do I Live,” which was released on the same day by LeAnn Rimes and Trisha Yearwood.

Angie, who previously competed on La Voz Kids under her real name Ángela Rodriguez, performed the verses in English, but sang the chorus in Spanish as a dedication to her Cuban grandma, who passed away
While Rimes was not Rey’s Mega Mentor, she did watch the episode and even commented on The Voice‘s Instagram post of Rey’s performance.
“Nailed it! i need you to teach me the spanish version 😍” Rimes wrote.

Unfortunately, it was not enough for her to stay in the competition, as Bublé chose Jayden Cree and Adam David to go to the Live Playoffs. But, at the end of the episode, host Carson daly revealed that each coach can choose one more person to continue, but that person won’t be revealed until the live show next week.
