Tanya Tucker Cancels One Of Her Concerts As She Recovers From Medical Procedure

Country music legend Tanya Tucker was forced to cancel one of her recent shows amid her recovery from “a medical procedure on her neck.

The show in question was supposed to take place on Thursday (September 14) at the SummerStage in New York’s Central Park. SummerStage shared the news about the cancellation on its official Facebook page:

“We regret to inform you that tonight’s Tanya Tucker performance at SummerStage in Central Park has been canceled,” the post read. “Tanya is recovering from a medical procedure on her neck and while she was hoping to be further along in her recovery process, her biggest priority is taking care of her health so she can put on the best show possible for her fans.”

SummerStage wished Tanya a speedy recovery, and apologized for any inconvenience to those who planned to attend her concert.

Tucker also postponed the concert she had scheduled for Friday night (September 15) at the Luhrs Performing Arts Center in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Her next show is scheduled for September 22.

Tanya Previously Had Emergency Hip Surgery In 2021

This isn’t the first time Tucker’s been forced to cancel shows due to a medical operation. Back in 2021, she underwent an emergency hip surgery after doctors discovered a fracture.

She initially canceled and rescheduled a month of shows, but realized she needed more time to recover. As a result, Tucker was forced to cancel more shows.

The singer eventually made a full recovery. This year, she kicked off her Sweet Western Sound tour, which runs into October.

Tanya Tucker Will Be Inducted Into The Country Music Hall Of Fame This Year

2023 has been an eventful year for Tucker. On top of touring, she presented at the ACM Awards, performed on CMT’s Summer Sessions, and released a new album.

Additionally, Tucker will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame later this year. Tucker’s Hall of Fame classmates are Patty Loveless and Bob McDill.

Tucker, Loveless, and McDill will officially be inducted into the Hall of Fame during the Medallion Ceremony this fall. We hope Tucker feels better by then so she can celebrate with her peers!
