The famous country singer and songwriter has sadly lost her father just days before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Sara Evans, a hitmaking singer and songwriter best known for her series of chart-topping singles like “No Place That Far,” “Born to Fly,” “Suds In The Bucket,” “A Real Fine Place to Start,” and “A Little Bit Stronger,” revealed in a recent social media post that her father, Jack Evans, had passed away on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020.

In the post to her Facebook page, Evans reveals that she had been “dreading” the day for some time now and said a few words about the great man that he was.

“Yesterday was a day I’ve been dreading. We lost our dad. Jack Evans. He was funny, handsome, and loved by all. Dad, I will miss you so much. And love you always. R.I.P.”

Along with her sweet words, Evans posted a few photos of her father from special family moments and occasions – including one where she and her father attended a George Strait concert!
