Rex Linn celebrated his 69th birthday on Thursday (November 13). The Happy’s Place star received lots of love and warm wishes from fans and loved ones, including his fiancée, Reba McEntire.
McEntire shared an affectionate message to Linn on Instagram, writing:
“Happy birthday to the love of my life! So thrilled we get to have coffee camp together, go to work together, and have fun at Happy’s Place together! Have a great birthday, Sugar Tot!!!!!“

“Sugar Tot” is McEntire’s nickname for Linn, while he lovingly calls her “Tater Tot.” Together, they refer to themselves as “The Tots.”

The Happy’s Place Cast Celebrates Rex’s Birthday On Set
Rex Linn celebrated his birthday on the set of Happy’s Place, in which McEntire also stars. The cast and crew brought out two cakes and some cookies to surprise Linn while singing “Happy Birthday” to him.
To make things even better, everyone wore bandanas matching the one Linn’s character, Emmett, wears on Happy’s Place.
But the surprises continued from there! Since Linn is a huge fan of the University of Texas Longhorns, the crew brought in a real-life Longhorn to wish him a happy birthday.
It’s unclear if the Longhorn was Bevo, the iconic live mascot for UT’s athletic programs. But regardless, Linn and McEntire had a fun time posing for photos with the magnificent animal.
Linn shared how grateful he was for everyone’s kindness on his birthday. He uploaded a video of their on-set celebration, captioning it:
“Celebrated my 69th birthday with the love of my life on set at the best job I’ve ever had! Thank you to everybody at @nbchappysplace for a fantastic birthday!“
