Just one day after the country music legend revealed that her beloved mother, Jacqueline McEntire had passed away – the family has made a very difficult decision.

Reba McEntire, who has always spoken highly of her relationship with her mom, posted a statement and a touching photo of Jacqueline on Instagram announcing her passing on Saturday, March 14th, 2020. She was 93 years old.

In her post, Reba shared that her mother had been battling cancer, but now that battle is over.

Reba said, “she was ready to see our Daddy, her mama and daddy and all her family and friends.”

Now, the McEntire family has been forced to make a very difficult decision about their mother’s final arrangments amid the worldwide Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.

In a new post shared on Reba’s official Instagram, she explains that the family has decided to indefinitely postpone the funeral and burial until this worldwide pandemic has passed.

“After much thought and careful consideration among our family, we have decided to indefinitely postpone Mama’s funeral and burial at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation and let you know as soon as possible about future plans to celebrate her life when it is safe for everyone to attend.

Thank you all for the calls, cards, thoughts and prayers for our family at this difficult time.”

We continue to pray for Reba and the entire McEntire family during this heartbreaking time. See the full statement below.
