Reba McEntire’s Son & Daughter-In-Law Announce Pregnancy

Singer, songwriter, author, and actress are among the many titles Reba McEntire holds. Soon, she will take on a new one: grandmother.

Reba McEntire’s only son, Shelby Blackstock, and his wife, Marissa, have announced that they are expecting their first child! Shelby was born in 1990, while his country superstar mother was married to her now-ex-husband, Narvel Blackstock. Now, he is a competitive racecar driver.

Along with a series of adorable photos taken at Disney World, the Blackstocks revealed that their baby BOY is due to arrive in October of this year. The amusement park holds special meaning for the couple, who exchanged their vows during a magical ceremony in front of the castle in 2022.

The announcement was set to “You’ll be in My Heart” by Phil Collins, from the Disney movie Tarzan. As they embark on this new chapter, the soon-to-be-parents wrote in a joint social media post:

“Oh, BOY! We’re beyond excited to FINALLY announce our little man is coming in October. See ya real soon, pal! Mommy + Daddy love you!”

Marissa Blackstock Shares IVF Journey

In January, Marissa Blackstock shared with her followers that she and Shelby were entering into their second round of IVF treatments. Additionally, she shared that their first round had resulted in a positive pregnancy, but that it turned out to be a “chemical pregnancy.”

This term is often used to describe a very early miscarriage within the first five weeks of pregnancy, shortly after implantation, before it can be detected by an ultrasound.

With the update, she wrote:

“The love, messages, prayers, and support from friends and this community have been overwhelming in the best way. I wish I could thank every single person personally. Just know we feel it, and we’re so grateful. Infertility is hard, but we don’t feel alone. ✨”

Congratulations to Shelby and Marissa Blackstock and their family! We cannot wait to see Reba become a grandma.
