Randy Travis Shares Heartfelt Tribute To His Friend Chuck Norris

Legendary Actor And Martial Artist Chuck Norris Dies At 86
Many Americans are mourning the loss of beloved action star Chuck Norris after news of his death broke last week. The award-winning actor died on March 19th at the age of 86. An official cause of death is not yet known.
Norris was one of the most-decorated martial artists in the United States. After winning multiple Professional Middleweight Karate titles, he retired, undefeated, in 1969. He began acting around that time at Bruce Lee’s encouragement. Norris went on to appear in more than 30 films and numerous television shows, including his successful series “Walker, Texas Ranger.”
His family confirmed the tragic news of his passing in a statement that read:
“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.
To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.”

Randy Travis Remembers Chuck Norris
Country music icon Randy Travis starred alongside Chuck Norris in the 1993 made-for-television film, Wind in the Wire. The movie follows the country singer as he befriends a runaway orphan and portrays a cowboy in a movie about the untamed West. It was created to launch Travis’ album by the same name.
On March 21st, the “Three Wooden Crosses” singer paid tribute to his friend with a post shared online. He wrote:
“The gentle strength in Chuck Norris is simply the heart of America. The memories, the movies, the martial arts, the workouts, the laughs we shared will always be amongst my most cherished. Chuck made a habit of finding the best in folks.”
He continued:
“Though heaven is home now, Chuck’s spirit will remain a source of strength and solace in all of us on earth, forever and ever. Rest well, my friend, and I’ll see you ‘round the bend.”
