“Pretty Little Baby” Singer Connie Francis Hospitalized After Experiencing “Extreme Pain”

Legendary Pop Singer Connie Francis Has Been Hospitalized

The news of Connie Francis’ hospitalization was shared through a post made on her official Facebook page.

The 87-year-old wrote that she was first taken to the hospital on Wednesday, July 2, after experiencing “extreme pain.” She explained that she was undergoing tests to determine what was causing it.

Unfortunately, her condition has forced her to cancel an upcoming performance. Francis had originally been scheduled to join radio personality Cousin Brucie for his two-hour Fourth of July special.

“I had hoped to take part in Brucie’s show for Independence Day, having had to cancel a previous slot a few weeks ago when receiving treatment on my hip,” Francis wrote. “Sadly, I had to let him know that I again had to withdraw. My thanks for your many get well soon messages. I will endeavor to keep you updated. Love, Connie.”

According to People, Francis recently suffered a hip injury that has left her temporarily using a wheelchair while she recovers.

However, it has not been confirmed whether this injury is related to her current hospitalization.

As of now, the most recent update Francis shared with her fans was that she had been moved out of the intensive care unit and into a private room.

“I am pleased to advise that following a series of tests and examinations in Intensive Care, I have now been transferred to a private room. Thank you all for your kind thoughts, words and prayers. They mean so much!”

Connie Francis rose to fame in the late 1950s and early 60s

Francis is one of the most successful female artists of her time.

She made history as the first woman to ever reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and has sold millions of records worldwide.

One of her most iconic songs, “Pretty Little Baby,” was originally released in 1962, but it has recently found new fame after going viral on TikTok this year, where millions of videos have been made using the track.
