Although 2020 has been a rough year for most, Dallas star Patrick Duffy can look back on it fondly. It was the year he fell in love again.

In 2017, Patrick’s wife of 40+ years passed away from cancer and he never thought he’d find love again. Three years later, he was in a group text with several friends when slowly but surely, each person stopped responding except for one: Happy Days actress Linda Purl.

After a while, they both realized they had feelings for each other. Patrick said, “I loaded up my car and drove 20 hours and ended up on her doorstep just to see if it was real. We haven’t been apart since.”

Linda has actually gone back to work filming some projects but from her posts on social media, it looks like Patrick has gone with her!

This Christmas marked their first as a couple and they didn’t spend it completely alone. Linda shared a photo of them with two friends standing in front of a Christmas tree.

“Christmas visit…tested/masked/outdoors except for a quick snap. so grateful for these wonderful friends,” Linda captioned the photo of the foursome.

The friends they are with might look familiar, seeing as they are actors, too! Patrick and Linda were hanging out with married couple Gregory Harrison and Randi Oakes.

Gregory is known for the 1987 movie North Shore, co-starring with Bonanza’s Pernell Roberts in the show Trapper John, M.D., and more recently, the Signed, Sealed and Delivered films on the Hallmark Channel. Randi is a former model and actress, best known for her role as Officer Bonnie Clark on the TV show CHiPs. They met on the show Battle of the Network Stars and have been married since 1980.

See Linda’s post below.
