A New Priscilla Presley Movie Is On The Way
Sofia Coppola directed a new movie based on Priscilla Presley‘s 1985 autobiography, Elvis and Me. The film, appropriately titled Priscilla, will explore Priscilla and Elvis’ relationship through Priscilla’s eyes. It’s set to be released on November 3.
Cailee Spaeny plays Priscilla, while Jacob Elordi was cast to play Elvis. So far, we’ve seen them in action in a short teaser and a full-length trailer, the latter of which was just released on October 3.
Priscilla has thrown her support behind the project. She attended the Venice film festival with Sofia Coppola and her team. Cailee Spaeny won the Best Actress Award at the festival and the film received a seven-minute standing ovation.
âI want to thank Sofia Coppola & her amazing team for hosting me at Venice film festival,” Priscilla said. “I still canât believe ‘Priscilla’ the movie received a 7 minute standing ovation while I was there. I am truly humbled and honored by all the great reviews and love.”

Priscilla Sits Down For “First Look” At Sofia Coppola’s New Film About Her Relationship With Elvis
On October 12, A24 released a new video offering a “first look” at Priscilla. Sofia Coppola sat down with Priscilla Presley in video, which also contains footage from the film.
“When I read Priscilla’s memoir I was just struck with what an unusual wild ride her life has been,” Sofia said.
“It’s a long story,” Priscilla added with a laugh.
Sofia said because we know so much about Elvis, she felt it was important to “show the story through Priscilla’s experiences.”

Priscilla has been a longtime fan of Sofia’s. She appreciates how she approaches her films, and especially how she portrays women in her work. “She just got me and I trusted her,” Priscilla said.
