Loretta Lynn Addresses Rumors About Declining Health

Loretta Lynn has faced her fair share of challenges over the past few years. In May 2017, she suffered a stroke at her home, resulting in the cancellation of her tour dates and the delayed the release of her new album, Wouldn’t It Be Great.

Lynn made a remarkable recovery, but experienced another setback when she fell and broke her hip on New Year’s Day in 2018.

But Lynn also made a remarkable recovery from that, and finally released Wouldn’t It Be Great in September 2018. Although she has never been able to tour since the two incidents, she did recently appear on stage at her all-star birthday celebration in April of this year.

Despite Lynn’s recent public appearance, rumors started circulating that her health had taken a turn for the worse.

If you’ve been online over the course of the past few days, you may have seen some concerning reports about Lynn. Multiple outlets have published stories stating that the iconic singer’s health is declining, and that she has been moved to a nursing home as a result.

The reports state that Lynn is living out her final days, and fans have been understandably concerned.

Wanting her fans to know the truth, Lynn addressed the rumors, sharing a video of herself reading one of the reports about her declining health.

A spunky Lynn looked over the report before dismissing it as rubbish:

“Hey! This says I’m in a nursing home and I’m on my deathbed? You’re kidding me!” Lynn says in the video. ‘I ain’t dead, and neither is Willie [Nelson]. Both of us are coming back to life, and we’re gonna raise hell.“

As if Lynn’s video message didn’t make her point clear, she also included a message for the no-good-tabloids in her caption. Referencing her hit song “Fist City,” she had this to say:

“Well, through the years they’ve said I’m broke, homeless, cheating, drinking, gone crazy, terminally ill, and even dead! Poor things can’t ever get it right. I guess if those old pesky tabloids are harassing me then they’re giving someone else a break……but I’m about an inch from taking ’em to Fist City!”

We’re happy to hear that the tabloid reports aren’t true, and are glad to see that Lynn is just as feisty as ever!

As Lynn referenced, her good pal Willie Nelson is no stranger to such rumors either. He even addressed these rumors with a hilarious song, “Still Not Dead,” which you can listen to below.
