Kevin Bacon Honors Veterans Day With Soldiers Dancing To “Footloose”

The original film star of Footloose took to social media on Veterans Day 2020 to honor the brave men and women of our armed forces and shared a video that brought both of them together!
“On this #VeteransDay we honor those who have served our country. We owe you a debt of gratitude. Thank you for fighting for our freedoms. And don’t think for one second that these heroes don’t also have moves. You guys nailed this! #Footloose”
Kevin Bacon wrote the above as a caption alongside his Nov. 11, 2020 post that shared a TikTok video from user Mr. Smash Ohana who is a longtime service member in the United States Army.
In this fun video, three men from the Army are all standing side by side. As the music to Kenny Loggins’ 1984 hit song “Footloose” came on, they each started dancing that instantly-recognizable jig made famous by none other than Kevin Bacon himself.
After Bacon had shared these fellas’ video, word got around that they’d made it to the star’s Instagram page and one of them left a comment thanking him.
“Wow ? We’re super honored and blessed ?? Happy Veterans Day?? We sure can dance up a good show. Truly inspired as well @kevinbacon Thank you,” @mr.smash_ohana wrote.
This fun video wasn’t the first that these soldiers had made and, in fact, they’ve grown quite a following on both TikTok and Instagram as some famous dancing soldiers!
