Dollywood has just rolled out its latest must-see attraction: The Dolly Parton Experience.
This dazzling new exhibit celebrates the life, career, and iconic style of the country music superstar herself. As Dollywood continues to shine, recently being named Tripadvisor’s No. 1 theme park in the U.S. and securing a spot among the top 10 attractions worldwide in 2024, this new addition couldn’t have come at a better time.
A Walk Down Memory Lane With Dolly
Located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, The Dolly Parton Experience showcases some of Dolly’s most memorable costumes, including her signature high heels.
But the fun doesn’t stop at just looking. Visitors can dive into the interactive “Dressing Dolly” exhibit, where they get to choose outfits and even select a guitar for Dolly. It’s as close as you can get to being Dolly’s personal stylist!
Dolly herself chuckled, “I dress her every day,” as she gave CBS Mornings a tour through her own exhibit.
The Dolly Parton Experience has three main attractions: Songteller, Behind The Seams, and Precious Memories.
– Songteller – Visitors can explore exhibits that showcase Dolly’s life, career, and the inspirations behind her biggest dreams.
– Behind The Seams – In this unique exhibit, discover Dolly’s signature style over the years and get a behind-the-scenes look at her creative process.
– Precious Memories – While waiting for the next show at the DreamSong Theater, where Dolly’s family and friends will continue to perform, you’ll now encounter a new exhibit that highlights the significance of faith and family.
Bringing The Experience To Life
The “9 to 5” singer said that she has dreamt of this experience for years. Seeing it come to fruition has been an emotional moment for her. She shared:
“You know how they say sometimes that when you start to die, your whole life flashes before you? Well, it about killed me going through there ’cause I got so emotional.”
While Dolly reminisces about her illustrious career, she’s also excited for what lies ahead. With plans for a Broadway musical based on her life story, she’s eager to make her “last chapter” the best yet.
“I’m on my last chapter because of my age and everything, but I want [it] to really be the best one,” she expressed with heartfelt hope.
