Dolly Parton Postponed Concerts, Citing Health Challenges
Taking to her social media, Dolly Parton announced that she is postponing her December 2025 concerts in Las Vegas, citing her “health challenges” as the reason.
“As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” she wrote.
The country icon joked that she was going in for her “100,000-mile check-in,” even though it wasn’t her usual doctor visit to the plastic surgeon.
She decided to postpone the shows because she won’t be able to prepare for the shows in the ways she wanted to, and she only wants to give her fans the very best.
She also wanted to assure fans that even though she is postponing her shows, she isn’t ready to retire, writing, “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”
Her announcement came two weeks after cancelling an appearance at Dollywood. She was shceduled to appear at the theme park on September 17 to unveil a brand-new attraction, Night Flight Expedition. Instead, she sent in a video message.
“Hello Dollywood! It’s me,” she told fans in a pre-taped clip. “I know — and I’m here, and you’re there. And you’re wondering why that is? Well, I had a little problem. had a kidney stone that was causing me a lot of problems, turned out it’d given me an infection, and the doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better.’ So, he suggested I not go to Dollywood today, but I’m there with you in spirit. I was looking so forward to it.”
