Dolly Only Has 1 Wish For Her 75th Birthday

Happy Birthday, Dolly Parton!

Parton celebrated her 75th birthday on Tuesday, Jan. 19th, and of course, the country icon took to social media to thank fans for the outpour of good wishes. Parton also revealed her one birthday wish to her fan base.

“Thank you for all of the love on my birthday,” Parton wrote. “This year my wish is a call for kindness.”

The country legend also expressed that fans needed to go beyond optimism for a kinder tomorrow. Parton’s wish was a call to action. In her caption, Parton admitted that people often become “buried” by all the fear in the world, and the artist challenged fans to begin digging their way to a better future.

“We can’t just hope for a brighter day, we have to work for a brighter day,” Parton continued. “Love too often gets buried in a world of hurt and fear. We have to work to dig it out so we can share it with our family, our friends and our neighbors. So today, January 19th, let’s get to unearthing love.”
