Chapel Hart team up with Tanya Tucker to sing “Delta Dawn.”
Chapel Hart, 2022 contestants on America’s Got Talent, joined Tanya Tucker on stage to deliver a flawless performance of Tanya’s hit song, “Delta Dawn.”
Tanya Tucker recorded and released “Delta Dawn” in 1972 at just 13 years old. After its release, the song peaked at #6 on the Hot Country Songs chart earning the 13-year-old her first Top 10 track right out of the gate.
Though other artists such as Bette Midler and Helen Reddy have recorded the song, Tuckers rendition is well-known by all.
Country music fans, young and old, are still singing “Delta Dawn” 51 years later.
Tanya recently performed the song at the CMT Awards in 2019 with country music legends Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Lauren Alaina, RaeLynn, Carly Pearce, Brandi Carlile, and Deana Carter.
“This song started everything off for me and has kept me going ever since,” Tanya shared in a statement. “I thank God for (Alex Harvey), his song, my life, my career, and my fans – as I find myself grateful and thankful knowing my life would have been so different without the iconic ‘Delta Dawn.'”
Chapel Hart added the perfect touch to Tucker’s hit song.
Chapel Hart gained popularity on America’s Got Talent in 2022 as a sister/cousin vocal trio. The country group from Poplarville, Mississippi placed 5th on the show, but are still gaining popularity following their run on AGT. Chapel Hart has been inducted into CMT’s Next Women of Country, the same institution that has been known to help rising female country singers like Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett and Ashley McBride.
They have earned the title for International Song of the Year for the single “You Can Have Him Jolene,” in Scotland. They have also been nominated for many awards by the British CMAs including “Group of the Year,” and “Album of the Year.”
Tanya’s recording of “Delta Dawn” features background vocals that really complete the iconic song. Chapel Hart brings that to life in this live performance to complete the well-known sound.
