It’s rare for fans to get a glimpse of what goes on backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. But, a new video posted online captured the precious moment Carrie Underwood’s sons meet Randy Travis for the first time.

Carrie Underwood performed on the Opry ahead of June’s CMT Fest in Nashville and took her boys, Isaiah (8) and Jacob (4), along for the special night. In an adorable clip posted online, Carrie is seen introducing the boys to Randy Travis. Isaiah is poised and serious as he shakes Randy’s hand, while Jake, as Carrie introduced him, is all smiles meeting the legend.
It’s worth noting that the video offers fans a first close-up of little Jake since his birth. While Isaiah is most definitely his daddy Mike Fisher’s twin, Jake looks like Carrie, blonde hair and all.
Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis go way back.
Nearly five years after Carrie Underwood won the fourth season of American Idol, she returned to the stage to perform alongside Randy Travis.
The two teamed up during Grand Ole Opry Week on Idol to sing Travis’s 1988 hit “I Told You So.” Carrie became an Opry member in 2008 after Randy surprised her onstage with an invitation to join the hallowed country music family.

Randy returned to surprise Carrie at the Opry again ten years later to celebrate the anniversary of her membership.

Carrie Underwood recorded a cover of Randy’s “I Told You So” for her 2007 album, Carnival Ride. It was released as a single in February 2009. She then re-recorded the song as a duet with Randy Travis and re-leased it a month later.
Carrie Underwood’s sons have been her Opry guests before. A fan captured Isaiah and Jacob dancing behind their mom while she sang. “I took a few but this was the best one!” the caption read. “I never would have pictured [“I Told You So”] being a breakdancing song but your boys stole the show!”
