Brooks & Dunn made history last night with their impressive win at the 58th annual CMA Awards. The duo first claimed the Vocal Duo of the Year title 32 years ago, in 1992. Between 1992 and 2006, they dominated the category, winning every year except 2000, when Montgomery Gentry took home the honor.
Now, 17 years after their last win, they have earned their 15th award in this category. This also makes them one of the most awarded artists in CMA history, tying with Chris Stapleton, who reached the same milestone with his wins last night.

Brooks & Dunn Release New Album “Reboot II” With 18 Star-Studded Collaborations
Just five days before their big night at the 2024 CMA Awards, Brooks & Dunn released their new album, Reboot II. This project follows their 2019 album, Reboot, which featured reimagined versions of some of the duo’s biggest hits, with modern country stars joining them to turn the songs into collaborations.
With the second edition of the album, they brought in 18 new artists to collaborate on each track. Big names like Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, Riley Green, and Jelly Roll joined the project.
During last night’s CMA Awards, Jelly Roll and Brooks & Dunn gave a powerful performance of their collaboration on the duo’s 2005 hit “Believe.” The moving rendition was so emotional that it left almost the entire audience in tears.
