Each year, the Academy of Country Music selects a special group of artists to honor at the prestigious ACM Honors.

Country music legend Alan Jackson is one of the recipients this year and a well-deserving one at that.

About ACM Honors

Unlike the grand ACM Awards show in the spring, the ACM Honors is a more personal event, held to honor special award honorees, including “off-camera category winners, and ACM Industry Awards and Studio Recording Awards.”

The first-ever ACM Honors took place in 2007, making this year’s special event the 17th annual celebration.

ACM will observe this year’s honorees on Wednesday, August 21, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

Four-time ACM Award winner Carly Pearce will host the event alongside current ACM Song of the Year winner Jordan Davis, who won the honor for “Next Thing You Know.”

Fans are in luck! While everyone has the chance to attend, Academy members and ACM A-list newsletter subscribers get first dibs through an exclusive pre-sale kicking off this Thursday. Then, the general sale opens on Friday via AXS. You can also subscribe to the A-List to get access to the pre-sale.

So, mark your calendars and get ready to snag those tickets! Stay tuned to find out who will be performing.

Alan Jackson Honored As 2024 Recipient Of ACM Poet’s Award

The ACM announced this year’s honorees on Tuesday, June 18.

Walt Aldridge and Alan Jackson both are set to receive the ACM Poet’s Award in recognition of their remarkable songwriting contributions throughout the years.

According to the Academy of Country Music, the Poet’s Award goes to a country music songwriter for “outstanding and longstanding musical and/or lyrical contributions throughout their career, with special consideration given to a song or songs’ impact on the culture of Country Music.”
