Country Music Icon Ray Stevens Suffers Serious Fall
On Tuesday (April 7), we first reported via PEOPLE that country music icon Ray Stevens suffered a broken neck following a recent fall.
The 87-year-old was injured on March 29th and was briefly hospitalized following the incident. Medical professionals determined that the injury would require him to wear a neck brace for several weeks, but no surgery was reported.
Despite the seriousness of the injury, Stevens is said to be in good spirits and remains mobile as he continues his recovery at home. Those close to the singer have indicated that he is expected to make a full recovery.
The falls comes less than a year after Stevens suffered a heart attack in July 2025. At the time, he was experiencing some chest pain. It was later determined that he suffered a mild heart attack, and he underwent a “minimally invasive heart surgery.”
He frequently shares updates with fans on his social media pages, along with nostalgic flashbacks from throughout his career that spans more than six decades.
