Trisha Yearwood & Lauren Alaina Release Duet Of “Getting Good”

Lauren Alaina released a new version of her hit song “Getting Good” as a duet with her “hero” Trisha Yearwood June 26, 2020.
On June 22, 2020, Lauren tweeted that she and Trisha had a special surprise for fans saying:
“Been COOKING up a little something with my girl, @trishayearwood, thatâs coming your way 6/26.”
In which Trisha retweeted with her own witty caption replying:
“Cooking something up with @Lauren_Alaina Hint: it’s not in the kitchen.”
Lauren took to Twitter again on June 23, 2020, using a pun with Trisha’s last name announcing the duet with her idol. In the tweet, she shared a video of Trisha and herself harmonizing together on Lauren’s song. After their impromptu performance, Lauren whispers giddily, “That is the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” while Trisha giggled.

and I are releasing a collaboration of my single, Getting Good, this Friday”

On the day of the release of the duet, Lauren posted on social media about her admiration for Trisha and what a dream it was to work with her saying:
“I canât believe the sequins of events that led us to today. They say donât meet your heroes, but they must not be talking about her. Thank you, @trishayearwood, for singing on Getting Good. SOMEONE. PINCH. ME.”
Trisha replied with how much she loved Lauren and what a blast it was to sing with her. She jokingly referred to her as “Junior” because of the uncanny resemblance to each other. Fans replied to Trisha’s tweet saying Lauren looked like Trisha’s “mini-me.”
“I love this girl! Had so much fun singing with you @Lauren_Alaina aka Junior.”
