Toby Keith’s Legacy Lives On Through His Music
It is hard to believe that nearly two years have passed since we said goodbye to iconic musician Toby Keith. His death on February 5, 2024 sent shockwaves though the nation, and the country music world will never be the same.
In the months following, the Country Music Hall of Famer was honored in countless ways. A massive tribute concert took over Nashville, stadiums full of football fans sang his songs at the top of their lungs, and a special collection of Toby Keith covers recorded by fellow country artists was released on Apple Music, to name a few.
Over the course of his career, he released 19 studio albums, two Christmas albums, and five compilation albums, totaling worldwide sales of over 40 million. Even with a catalog of that size, not all music created by Toby in his lifetime has been heard by fans.

Previously Unheard Toby Keith Demo Unveiled
Just this week, a long-lost piece of Toby Keith’s work has been made available. The late icon wrote “End of the Night” with Bobby Pinson and David Lee Murphy approximately ten years ago. The song never made it onto an album, but the demo has now been revived as a part of Apple Music’s “Lost & Found.”
Pinson says it was one of his favorites that they ever wrote, and Murphy recalls feeling like it was a hit. Listen to the songwriters talk about the experience of recording the demo for “End of the Night” with Toby Keith in the video below!
