Reba McEntire’s NBC Sitcom Starts Production On Its Second Season
For the longest time, fans simply knew to expect the Season 2 premiere of Happy’s Place in the fall. But finally, we know the exact date the new season will start!
Country music superstar Reba McEntire stars in Happy’s Place as Bobbie, a headstrong woman who finds herself in charge of her beloved father’s pub after his death. Her life gets turned upside down when she learns she has a younger half sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), who is now her new business partner. Season 1 followed Bobbie and Isabella as they worked through their differences and started to develop a strong bond.
Other characters include the chatty and somewhat dramatic bartender, Gabby (Melissa Peterman), the no-nonsense cook, Emmett (played by McEntire’s real-life boyfriend Rex Linn), the calm and collected waiter, Takoda (Tokala Black Elk), and the germaphobe accountant, Steve (Pablo Castelblanco).

Season 1 also featured some long-awaited reunions. McEntire and Peterman’s former Reba sitcom co-stars, Steve Howey and Christopher Rich, both made special appearances on the show.
Ahead of the Season 2 premiere, Happy’s Place creator Kevin Abbott has promised there will be more Reba reunions in future episodes.
On June 27, McEntire revealed that Season 2 of Happy’s Place was officially in production. She shared a behind-the-scenes clip of the cast and crew on set, offering a first look at the new season.
The Happy’s Place Cast Announces When Season 2 Will Premiere
After seeing Season 2 was in production, Happy’s Place fans tried to pinpoint when the premiere would be. Season 1 premiered on October 18, 2024, so people wondered if Season 2 would also premiere in October.
Turns out, that’s not the case! On Monday (July 28), McEntire and the Happy’s Place cast announced that Season 2 will kick off on Friday, November 7.
The cast revealed the news in a video that shows them asking “How many days until the premiere?” Then, McEntire appears on the screen, and points down to text that reads “102.”
The video’s caption read, “Counting down the days #HappysPlace returns on Nov 7 | NBC and Peacock.“
