Lisa Tapley of Boonville, Indiana, is currently battling a terminal brain cancer called Glioblastoma. Her sister, Dixie, spoke with radio station 99.5 WKDQ about her cancer battle, saying she has been through several surgeries since September 2018.

Dixie said Lisa also underwent chemo and other treatments. But she recently decided to cease all treatments and chose to come home so she could enjoy the rest of her life with her loved ones.

Those loved ones have done everything in their power to try and make a dream come true for Lisa. As 99.5 WKDQ states, Lisa’s “favorite artist” is country music icon Reba McEntire.

Lisa plans to see Reba in concert when she performs in Evansville, Indiana in March. Her family has been working to see if it would be possible for her to meet and sing with Reba at that show.

If that meeting doesn’t happen, Lisa can still say she got the chance to speak with Reba.

Reba took time out of her day to reach out to Lisa and give her a call. Lisa’s husband, Melvin, shared a video of their conversation on Facebook.

Reba was happy to hear Lisa would be at her concert, and told her she can’t wait for her to see it. She also told Lisa she was working on a new TV show and hoped she’d get the chance to watch it from home.

They ended the call with a prayer led by Reba. After saying “Amen,” Reba said, “I wish I was there to hug you Lisa.”

You can listen to Reba’s entire call with Lisa by tuning in to the video below.

Lisa’s husband, Melvin, is a Captain for the Princeton Fire Department. The department has arranged a fund to help with Lisa’s medical costs. If you’d like to donate, checks can be sent to the following address:

Fifth Third Bank

Please make checks out to the Lisa Tapley Benefit Fund

Our prayers go out to Lisa and her family.
