Randy Travis Gave A Breakout TV Star The Surprise Of A Lifetime
Randy Travis made one of his biggest fans’ days when he surprised him at the Grand Ole Opry. On Saturday, June 21st, Tyler White from the show Love On The Spectrum stopped by the Grand Ole Opry because he was a guest on the Drifting Cowboy podcast, hosted by Dillon Weldon.
They recorded the episode in one of the Opry dressing rooms. During the episode, Weldon invited Dan Rogers, the Executive Producer of the Grand Ole Opry, to join the podcast for a special surprise for White. Rogers then asked White if he’d like to sing Randy Travis’ “Deeper Than The Holler,” a song written by two Grand Ole Opry members.
Rogers couldn’t finish the question before White exclaimed, “Yes!!”

Weldon asked the country DJ and aspiring singer how he was feeling after being asked to make his Opry debut. White replied, “I’m excited, let’s go!”
Later that evening, White performed an inspiring rendition of “Deeper Than The Holler” on the Opry stage, a song he said he loves to sing to his girlfriend, Madison. He walked around the stage like he owned the place and had so much confidence! He received a loud roar of applause after his performance and then, a huge surprise…Randy Travis walked on stage!

Who Is Tyler White?
Tyler White is a breakout star from Season 3 of the hit Netflix show Love On The Spectrum, a show that follows young adults on the autism spectrum on their journey to find love. White was brought in for a date with one of the Season 3 leads, Madison Marilla.
During their first date, they bonded over their shared love of country music. White revealed to her that he was a country DJ and performed at various events like weddings. A memorable moment on the show was when he revealed he could tell her what key any country songs was in, and she put him to the test!
Madison and Tyler went on a couple more dates on before making their relationship official, and they have been together ever since! Madison lovingly calls Tyler her “Cowboy Sweetheart.”

Thanks to social media, Madison and Tyler have been able to do some really cool things, such as attend CMA Fest and meet lots of country stars including Blake Shelton and Ashley McBryde. And now, perform at the Grand Ole Opry and meet Randy Travis!
As Tyler was taking a bow on the Opry stage following his performance, the Opry announcer revealed that Travis was actually in the building and walking out to meet him!
As Randy and his wife, Mary, walked out on stage, Tyler said, “Oh my gosh!”

Mary told him, “We just want to say thank you so much for loving country music, especially some Randy Travis. Thank you for loving the Lord and for finding the silver linings in life. You are such an inspiration to so many. God Bless you, we love you.”
“Thank you, a lot,” Travis added, hugging Tyler.
Mary also told him, “Keep doing what you’re doing. The world’s better because of you. Tell Madison ‘hi’ for us, we love y’all.”
