After almost five years of separation, Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Lockwood are officially divorced.

Presley and Lockwood wed in 2006 and welcomed two daughters, Finley and Harper. Since Presley filed for divorce in 2016, she and Lockwood have been locked into a custody battle over their 12-year-old twins. Unfortunately, the legal dispute between the pair will continue. The legal ruling does not solve alleged misappropriation of property, child support, attorney’s fees, or financial disclosure obligations.

In late 2020, Presley’s ex-husband sued for full custody of the twins. Unfortunately, the tragic death of Presley’s son, Benjamin Keough, played into the battle. According to the Daily Mail, Lockwood argued that the July passing of Presley’s only son could send her back into drug and alcohol abuse. Ultimately, the court ruled that Presley had overcome her addiction and granted joint custody.

According to documents obtained by ET, the court granted a dissolution to marriage “as to status only.” On Wednesday, May 26th, the court ruled that Presley and Lockwood would be “restored to the status of single persons.” The decision was made due to “irreconcilable differences” that had risen between the couple.
