1940s “Time Capsule” Estate Once Owned By Roy Rogers Listed For Sale
A lucky buyer could be the new owner of a piece of Hollywood history. An expansive home once owned by the late Roy Rogers has just hit the market for the first time in 50 years, priced at a whopping $7.2 million.
Roy Rogers was a beloved singer, actor, and rodeo performer. Throughout his career, he appeared in nearly 90 motion pictures and hosted a self-titled radio show and television program. He is the only artist to have been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame twice and has four stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Located at 3734 Longridge Ave in Sherman Oaks, CA, the 5,035-square-foot house features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a Billiards room, an office, and more. The one-acre lot is located inside the coveted Longridge Estates, home to multiple celebrities. Rogers bought the home in 1944, five years after it was built.
The beloved Western star owned the property for almost 30 years before selling it in 1971 for just $100,000. The home was purchased by the Taylor family, who have resided in it ever since.

See Inside The Iconic Home
Donovan Healy of Coldwell Banker Realty holds the listing. He says,
“While the home is gracious and filled with character, the true value lies in the land, the location, and the limitless potential. Whether restored, reimagined, or rebuilt entirely, this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a world-class estate in a setting rich with history and charm.”
The property is in great condition, frozen in 1940s charm. However, the seller acknowledges that the style might not appeal to all buyers’ tastes, so the listing includes renderings of the property with a potential modern rebuild.
