Gatlin Brothers Mourn Death Of Their Father

In 2017, the Gatlin Brothers were heartbroken when their mother, Billie Christine Doan Gatlin, passed away at the age of 88. She and the Gatlins’ father, William Wayne “Curly” Gatlin, had been married for 70 years at the time of her passing.

Now, three years later, Larry, Steve, Rudy, and their sister, LaDonna, have been left to mourn the loss of their beloved father as well.

The Gatlin brothers announced their father passed away on Monday (November 9). “It is with great sadness that we share the news of our father’s passing yesterday at 4 PM” the brothers wrote in a statement published on social media on November 10. Curly was 93 years old.

Although the Gatlins were saddened by the loss of their father, they found joy in the fact that he would be reunited with their mother and his own parents. “It is with great joy that we think of the reunion with our mom, his mom & dad & all the saints that were there to usher him into heaven,” they wrote.
