Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour Ends Missouri Show Early After Extreme Weather Event

Willie Nelson‘s Outlaw Music Festival Tour recently announced they can’t reschedule their June 29th concert, which was cut short due to extreme weather.

The Outlaw Music Festival Tour is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Nelson is just one of the artists featured on the lineup, which also includes Bob Dylan, Turnpike Troubadours, Sheryl Crow, and The Red Clay Strays, among others.

The tour started in May and continues through September.

The artists traveled to Ridgedale, Missouri, to perform on June 29. However, their show was cut short due to an extreme weather event. The storm was so bad that the audience had to evacuate from the venue.

The strong winds and heavy rains also damaged some of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour‘s equipment and instruments. Because of this, the tour was forced to cancel its July 1 show in El Reno, Oklahoma.

A statement released on Nelson’s official social media pages reads:

The potential damage has halted the festival production as they recover and replace what’s necessary for the tour to resume. The tour looks forward to resuming in Austin on July 4.”

Thankfully, Nelson’s beloved guitar, Trigger, was marked “safe” after the storm.
