Ella Langley Tips Her Hat To “The King Of Country,” George Strait

Country music sensation Ella Langley took a moment to film an unplugged cover of a George Strait classic, and fans couldn’t get enough.

On Sunday (December 7), Langley uploaded a home video of herself singing Strait’s “Fool Hearted Memory.” Strait released the track in May 1982, and it reached the #1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart. It also ranked 15th on the year-end chart for 1982.

The video Langley posted shows her singing a snippet of “Fool Hearted Memory” in her dimly lit kitchen. She gently strummed along on her acoustic guitar as she dealt out her dreamy performance. Writing in the caption, Langley said, “I mean…

Langley had perfect timing with her upload. She shared her tribute to Strait the same evening he was recognized in Washington, D.C. as a Kennedy Center honoree.

Ella Recently Won 3 CMA Awards And Scored Her First Hot Country Songs Chart-Topper

Langley shared her tribute to Strait less than three weeks after she walked away with three trophies from the 2025 CMA Awards. She won Music Video of the Year, Song of the Year, and Single of the Year.

The 26-year-old also performed during the ceremony. She sang her latest single, “Choosin’ Texas,” and many viewers felt her performance was a highlight of the evening.

Shortly after the CMA Awards, “Choosin’ Texas” became Langley’s first song to hit #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. She had previously earned #1 hits on the Country Airplay and Mediabase charts.

There’s no denying that Langley is on a roll right now!
