Actress Catherine Bach Was Hospitalized Last Week

Catherine Bach, who is best known for her role as Daisy Duke on the hit television show The Dukes Of Hazzard, was hospitalized in Los Angeles, according to a post from former co-star Ben Jones.

Jones portrayed Cooter Davenport on The Dukes of Hazzard and owns a bar called Cooter’s in Nashville, where Bach was scheduled to appear on November 1st.

On Thursday (Oct 30), Jones and his wife, Alma, wrote an update in a now-deleted Facebook post, saying,

“Breaking news! Our dear Catherine Bach has just been admitted to the hospital in Los Angeles on an emergency basis. Catherine has an embolism that probably developed as a result of a recent surgery. We will keep you posted, and Catherine will share her story as soon as she is recovered. She is so, so sorry to have to cancel her appearance at Cooter’s this weekend. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Love, Ben and Miss Alma.”

Following this news, Cooter’s Place confirmed her November 2nd appearance had been cancelled.

“Due to unforseen circumstances, Catherine Bach’s appearance at Cooter’s Place in Nashville on November 1 and 2, 2025, has been cancelled,” the post read. “Catherine and Cooter’s Place are very sorry for any inconvenience. We will reschedule and announce the new date as soon as it’s set. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

Catherine’s Dukes Co-Stars Send Their Love

The Dukes Of Hazzard was truly an ensemble show. Without one of the actors, the show wouldn’t have been the same, which is why the cast formed such a strong bond that went well beyond their time on the show.

Catherine’s on-screen cousins, Luke and Bo Duke, were played by Tom Wopat and John Schneider, respectively. Their love for one another on Dukes translated to their real life, even 40 years after the final episode of the show aired.

Wopat took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself and Bach hugging with the caption, “Tom and the Wopat Webcrew are sending our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Catherine Bach, who was recently hospitalized. Wishing her comfort and a full, speedy recovery.”

Schneider updated his fans on Facebook on Bach and sent her some love. His post read: “Attention Dukes of Hazzard family!! I just texted Catherine, and thankfully, she responded right away. Yes, she is in the hospital, but she assures me that she is going to be fine. She appreciates all our prayers and support and is truly disappointed not to be traveling this weekend. We love you, Catherine!
