We are living in a time where hand washing is very crucial. Because many people have come up with different ways to make sure you are washing your hands correctly.

It is recommended that you wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds, which is usually the length of a chorus to a song.

A singer who goes by the name 3 Mile Smile helped her friends at FixnMixStudio release a video to help folks with hand washing, set to the tune of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.”

We also found other videos of people singing their own hand-washing songs to the tune of Dolly Parton’s famous song, but with the lyrics changed a little bit. A woman named Patti Casey changed the lyrics to, “Go clean, go clean, go clean, go clean. I’m begging of you, please go wash your hands. Go clean, go clean, go clean, go clean. Please go wash them every time you can.”

A mom created her own version with the lyrics, “Children, children, children, oh children! I’m begging of you, please just wash your hands. Children, children, children, oh children! Please wash your hands just because you can.”

Well, after these were all released, Dolly Parton herself got in the game of making a new song using “Jolene”!

Wearing a cute baseball cap and a matching shirt and sweater, the country legend explained what she was doing, saying, “Well hey there! I’m in here in my bubble making bubbles, washing my hands. You know you gotta wash them for at least 20 seconds.

She then recommended using this updated version of “Jolene.”

“Jolene Jolene Jolene Jolene, I’m begging of you, please don’t touch my man,” she sang. “Jolene, Jolene, Jolene Jolene. If you touch him, please go wash your hands.”

We will now be singing Dolly’s version every time we wash our hands! Watch her video below.
