Dolly Parton Says She’s “Living On Faith” & Still Wears Makeup In Quarantine

During these trying times, country fans have found some comfort in Dolly Parton‘s messages, photos, and videos on social media. She has been preaching for people to trust God and keep the faith even when the world seems like it’s falling down around us.
In an interview with People, Parton said she has been “following all the social distancing rules” and has remained home.
But that hasn’t stopped her from socializing with her fans. She has shared many videos on her social media pages, including clips where she reads bedtime stories for children from her Imagination Library.

Those who have watched Parton’s quarantine videos have noticed she has always been dressed to the nines and has her makeup done. Even though she never leaves the house these days, this is apparently a normal routine for her!
Parton has famously talked about how she would never want to step out in public without makeup or a wig on.
“It’s important because I don’t want someone to see me and be disappointed,” she said in a 2003 interview with the Associated Press. “It got to be fun for me, a conversational piece. But this is how I think I look the best.”

Those thoughts apparently apply to quarantine as well, since Parton told People she has maintained her beauty routine throughout this period.
“I always say that the only way I’d be caught without makeup is if a radio fell into the bathtub and electrocuted me,” Parton joked. “So yes, I’m always in glam!”
As for what’s helping her get through this challenging time, Parton says she’s “living on faith” and keeps trying to “bring light” to others.
