Country Star Jo Dee Messina Teases Her First New Album In Over 10 Years

Jo Dee Messina Is Recording New Music
It’s been more than 10 years since country star Jo Dee Messina released a full-length album, but soon, fans will finally get to hear brand-new music from her.
The “Heads Carolina, Tails California” singer first let fans know she was back in the studio on October 5, when she shared a video on Instagram showing her hard at work recording.
“So excited about this project!” she wrote in the caption.
Messina even gave a sneak peek of a new song she had just written. In the clip, she belts out the lyrics, “some bridges are meant to build and some bridges are meant to burn.”
The next day, on October 6, Messina shared even more behind-the-scenes moments. The Grammy nominated artist posted a carousel of photos showing her recording with her band.
She added that she’s working alongside songwriter and producer David Spencer for this new project.
She kept the updates coming with another video, this time showing her singing another new lyric.
“Are you as ready as I am for new music?” she wrote.
When Is Jo Dee Messina’s New Album Dropping?
Messina hasn’t shared an exact release date for her new collection of songs yet, but when a fan asked about it in the comments of one of her social media posts, she replied and confirmed that it should be sometime early next year.
“They say ‘Q1,’ first quarter 2026. Not sure exact release date yet,” she responded.

Messina dominated the country music scene in the ’90s and early 2000s. She’s been honored at the CMA Awards, ACM Awards, and Grammy Awards.
She was also the first female country artist to earn three consecutive multi-week No.1 hits, according to her official website.
Her last full-length album Me, came out in March 2014.
