Premiering last year, the series centers on Bobbie, a determined woman who inherits her late father’s pub, only to discover she has an unexpected business partner – her younger half-sister, Isabella, whom she never knew existed.

Bobbie (Reba McEntire) faces the challenge of running Happy’s Place while navigating tension with her newfound family member (Belissa Escobedo). Despite their differences, the two women gradually build a heartfelt connection by the end of the first season.

A handful of surprise guests were featured throughout the season, including former Reba co-stars Steve Howey and Christopher Rich. As the second season approaches, there has been much speculation around who will join the cast.

The Happy’s Place Cast Has Kevin Costner On Their Dream Cameo List

In a new conversation with US Weekly, the cast of Happy’s Place, including Reba McEntire, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Rex Linn and Tokala Black Elk teased what to expect on this upcoming season and shared their hopes for future guest appearances.

Peterman echoed her interest in having the Yellowstone actor join the cast and added:

“I also would love a flashback scene, specifically a flashback of the day showing each and everyone’s job interview… That could be really fun.”

Rex Linn threw the additional names of John Lithgow, Jean Smart, and Peyton Manning into the mix for potential guest appearances and added that he has “about 30 friends” that want to do the show. Castelblanco suggested Sofia Vergara and John Leguizamo as his on-camera parents.

In the same conversation, Reba shared what is has been like filming for the second season of Happy’s Place and described the family dymanic of her co-stars.

It is a great place to be. We know our audience, we know each other better and we’ve gelled. We didn’t have that big of a break between the first season ending and second season beginning so we just fell right back into it.”

She adds that, even when a new face is added to the mix, the core group of actors does not miss a beat.

“We’re bonding a lot more. All six of us are very confident and very comfortable with each other — to a point that when we do have a guest cast, we feel very comfortable sharing the stage.

Escobedo shared her anticipation for the next chapter of the show, and said:

“That’s what I’m so excited for everyone to see is how much the relationship between everyone has progressed into even more of an ensemble. It’s just so funny.
