For the past several years, the legendary rock band Santana has held a Las Vegas residency at the House of Blues. The band was lined up to pause the residency to embark on their Miraculous World Tour in 2020, but COVID derailed those plans. Since things have reopened, frontman Carlos Santana and his band have returned to the House of Blues.

In April 2021, the band announced their 2021 dates: August 25, 27-29, September 1-4, November 3, 5-7, 10, 12-14, December 1, 3-5, 8, and 10-12.

Unfortunately,  on November 30th, the venue announced that Santana’s December 1st show would be cancelled due to a “non-Covid relation situation that has been corrected.”

They assured fans he was “recovering and doing fantastic.”

On December 1st, Carols Santana himself filmed a video explaining what was going on and that the rest of their 2021 dates would be cancelled.

“Last Saturday, I had an incident where my wife took me to the hospital,” the 74-year-old said. “I had this thing happening in my chest. When we went there, we found out that I needed to take care of it. So, I am. I’m going to be taking time out for a little bit to make sure I replenish and I rest, and I catch up with my health so that when I play for you, I would play the way I’m used to and give you 150%.. I wouldn’t show up unless I can do that.”

Along with the video message, the tweet read, “Santana has canceled all December 2021 at the House of Blues Las Vegas as he recovers from an unscheduled heart procedure. We look forward to returning to perform at the House Of Blues in January 2022.

We will keep Carlos in our prayers and we hope he has a quick recovery! See his full video message below.
