In a recent Grand Ole Opry performance on March 28, 2020, Vince Gill was joined by his wife Amy Grant and daughters, Jenny and Corinna Gill for Opry Live.

Due to the recent shelter-in-place protocol, the family had to perform to an empty venue without a live audience.  It was the second straight week that Opry Live was filmed without an audience. The show is live-streamed so fans are able to watch the performance from the safety of their homes.

“Due to global events, country music fans can’t come to Nashville to see the Grand Ole Opry, so Circle All Access and the Opry are bringing Saturday Night Opry – hosted by Bobby Bones – to the globe!”

During the performance with Vince and his family, the four of them came together to perform the classic song “You Are My Sunshine.”

Vince, wife Amy, and daughter Jenny are all playing the guitar with a microphone in front of them while daughter Corinna is behind them playing the piano.

Vince starts the video by strumming the guitar and reminds everyone to be kind saying, “Y’all be sweet to one another.”

Towards the end of the song, while the family is all singing the chorus together, Vince jokingly says while giggling, “Now just the audience.” They all look at each other smile and let out a slight laugh as the camera pans to show all the empty seats of the venue that would normally be filled with adoring fans.

You can watch the sweet family moment below.

Stay tuned for upcoming live performances at the Opry and watch Ashley McBryde, Terri Clark, and Lauren Alaina this Saturday (April 4) at 7:30/6:30cst by clicking here.
