Reba McEntire knows how to connect with her audience – bringing forth every kind of emotion possible with just the sound of her voice. During her 2018 CMA Christmas performance, she not only hosted the whole event – she also performed one of the most beautiful Christmas songs you’ll ever experience…

A Time-Honored Musician

Reba has made her name in the music industry. From taking the country music world by the horns in the 1980s and 90s to mentoring the next generation of singers like Kelly Clarkson – she’s done it all.

She was even presented with the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement Honor” at the Kennedy Center on Dec. 3, 2018. Alongside popstar Cher, composer Philip Glass, and jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter – Reba was honored as a “country music legend.”

A Holiday Event

So when CMA Country Christmas needed someone to host their 2018 show, Reba was just the gal.

The excited host would also perform during the event and invited fans to live tweet her throughout the night!

The Christmas Song

In true Reba style, she took a beautiful classic and added her twangy vocals to the tune. She picked “The Christmas Song” for her winter-wonderland performance. Originally written in 1945, Nat King Cole took the tune and made it a holiday staple in 1946.

As Reba stood on stage in a gorgeous, floor-length gown with snowflakes falling in the background – she brought back every nostalgic Christmas memory. You can watch her jaw-dropping performance below and let us know what you think in the comments!
