The Josh Abbott Band shared a touching video on Saturday of a musical moment the group shared with Randy Travis.
Abbott serenaded the country legend with a rendition of Travis’ hit “Forever and Ever, Amen” while performing at Billy Bob’s Texas. Travis smiled and cheered along throughout the song, honored by the gesture.

On Instagram, Abbott recalled the once in a lifetime performance to his fans. Travis was at the venue to enjoy the show, and Abbott was starstruck by the incredible shared moment between artists. He wrote:
“Moments like this are when I think to myself “how is this my life?” Like all of you, I grew up on the music of Randy Travis. He’s a legend. This song was my wife & I’s “send-off dance” at our wedding. For him to come to our show and us have this moment, it’s just special. I’m soaking this one in. He sat side stage with his wife smiling and enjoying the night watching my daughter dance around. I mean, how is this my life?!”

Travis, 61, is one of country music’s biggest icons. Last year, the artist released his first single since suffering a debilitating stroke in 2013. Travis’s new tune, “Fools Love Affair,” remains true to his signature style of traditional country music.
